Tasting notes

Black fruit, black pepper, gunpowder, sea salt on the nose. Red cherry, date, cedar, slate on the palate bolstered by a medium-body with little astringency. Round with quick finish. 

Winemaker Notes

Cabernet Sauvignon 50% / Malbec 50%

Hand-sorted before crushed and de-stemmed. Fermented with encouraged high temperatures and  punchdowns twice daily. Aged for 29 months in neutral oak with oak supplementation. 2020’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec were co-fermented, both constituting 50% of the blend. Not dissimilar to a typical bordeaux blend to which our Cabernet Sauvignon & Malbec owes its inception, a rigid structure and sleek minerality is portrayed, with high aging potential. Bottle age 7-10 years.
