Apricot, thyme, menthol on the nose. Primarily herbaceous notes, alongside subtle red fruit on the palate. Heavy-bodied, balanced astringency with a medium finish.
Hand-sorted before crushed and destemmed, varietals fermented separately, blended pre-elevage. This blend is 50% Tempranillo, 25% Syrah, 25% Malbec. This blend saw its inception in an attempt to incorporate greater complexity into the fruit forward varietals Syrah and Malbec; the primary candidate being Tempranillo, lending an aromatic profile more herbal than fruit-driven. Aged in neutral oak for 30 months. Bottle age 7-10 years.
